2020-03-13 – Rockhampton

Another slow and easy day.  We didn’t head out until mid-day when we went walking along the river front.  The area has a lot of very old and beautiful buildings.

The river was very silted and looked more like a sandy flatland than a river.

This photo was of the side of a restaurant overlooking the river.

In this rather interesting art piece the inside (black) surface was so shiny and reflective that the reflections made it look like you were actually looking through the piece to the river and trees beyond.  It is actually a reflection.

And we didn’t go out again until dinner.  Not that we are lazy.  It is just that we’ve been having to deal with a lot of travel problems due to the ongoing pandemic.  Much of the rest of our trip has been or looks like it will be canceled.
